Factory Underground Tech is proud of our student Alex Slogoff [@Alex.slogoff] 's 2nd release, "Hurting Yourself," which was released today, (February 5th 2021) on major streaming platforms via her Record Label, On Track Beats, featuring vocalist Angelyse Mariah.
"Hurting Yourself" is her artist, @angelysemariah 's debut single as well. Alex met Angelyse through a Clive Davis program at NYU. While interning at the Factory Underground Alex came across an instrumental that was created by one of the owners, Kenny Cash. Alex immediately thought Angelyse's vocals and smokey tone could compliment the r&b laid back feel of the instrumental.
Lyrically the song expresses the feelings associated with a broken relationship and strength that is needed to turn away from it.
Alex is planning another release penned by spring 2021.
