Factory Underground Tech Instructor Tom Stewart gives viewers a "Quick Tip" lesson in achieving the "Ultimate Rock Guitar Tone" with the Logic Pro X plug-in "Amp Designer."
This technique is specifically designed to work on achieving a great rock guitar tone from a guitar track recorded direct into Logic Pro X, through a computer audio interface.
In addition to demonstrating how different amplifiers and microphone combinations can be utilized within "Amp Designer," Tom demonstrates how he utilizes additional channel strip plug-ins, including a "Pedalboard," as well as various types of "EQ." Finally, he shows how doubling, and panning can be brought into the mix - resulting in the "Ultimate Rock Guitar Tone."
Editors note: These techniques may be modified, and adjusted according to taste to achieve a variety of different guitar tones, that will work across a diverse number of genres.
